Thomas More's History

Thomas More College was originally founded by the Benedictine Sisters of Covington, Kentucky in 1921 to train Catholic school teachers and to provide college education for young women. In 1945, it was designated a co-educational college and later relocated and renamed Thomas More College. Today, Thomas More College serves 1,500 full- and part-time students from about 20 states and several countries. Thomas More College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees in a variety of disciplines.
